Winter and Spring are ideal times to fly kites when there are less crowds, especially at beaches and parks. \u00a0You can almost time the wind&#8217;s arrival at California beaches &#8212;\u00a0kite-flying winds blow in after lunch (usually anywhere from 1 to 2:30 p.m.)\u00a0and last for one to two hours. If you want to fly a kite it&#8217;s important to pay attention to the wind where you live or are visiting.
