Let&#8217;s see&#8230; Cotton Rosser, founder of Flying U Rodeo productions, was recently honored at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Los Angeles. &#8220;I spent my childhood dreaming of being a cowboy and living a cowboy life. As a small boy, in Long Beach, CA, I wanted to be a cowboy,&#8221; he said. He produces 35-50 rodeos in California, Nevada and the Western States each year.<\/p>\n<p>There are over 100 rodeos each year in California that include Indian cowboys, black cowboys, women cowgirls and\u00a0national, international\u00a0and\u00a0locally produced festivals and competitions. While\u00a0some\u00a0urban cities whose roots have sprung from California ranchos\u00a0now\u00a0reject\u00a0rodeo events, \u00a0you&#8217;ll rarely see this happen in true cowboy country where ranching and\u00a0farming are a way of life.
