Not to worry&#8211;they are just rubber duckies waiting to take a big bath in the Pacific Ocean\u00a0on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/huntington-beach-duckathon.html\">Duck-a-thon<\/a>. \u00a0The race to shore starts from atop the Huntington Beach Pier where the sponsored ducks get dumped all at once&#8211;perhaps they call it Duck-a-thon because you better duck if you happen to be surfing next to the pier!\u00a0The little rubber duckies\u00a0bob their way with the ocean currents back to land\u00a0where volunteers pluck them from the water with first arrivals declared winners. Their owners (who pay $10) \u00a0have a chance to win cash\u00a0and prizes.\u00a0\u00a0Money raised at Duck-a-thon\u00a0helps fund\u00a0health care for those who can&#8217;t afford it.
