He won an Emmy for a news story in which he tracked down fugitives from a corrections facility and he’s also won awards for coverage of\u00a0squatters taking over homes in an upscale Riverside neighborhood and a business allegedly not fulfilling customer orders. \u00a0Traveling in a company supplied mini-van with a staff of 1 (himself,) Yost exemplifies the meaner, leaner news business of today. He sets up his own cameras and lighting equipment, operates them and reports the news in do-it-yourself fashion.
