Like other festivals that have grown out of local farming interests &#8212; Castroville Artichoke Festival, Gilroy Garlic Festival and Fallbrook Avocado Festival &#8212; Morgan Hill, part of the Santa Clara Valley, has several facilities that contribute to California&#8217;s rank of second in the nation in mushroom production. More than 60% of those mushrooms are grown in Santa Clara and Monterey counties.
