There are countless\u00a04th of July Parades taking place this year in\u00a0California<\/a>\u00a0and at\u00a0each and every event\u00a0proud, flag-waving Americans participate in\u00a0old-fashioned celebrations honoring the birth of a nation more than 200 years past. There are so many parades taking place that it’s difficult to offer a synopsis of each. One claims to be the biggest West of the Mississippi (Huntington Beach), and one claims to be the longest in the nation (Alameda). \u00a0There are children’s parades (Cupertino, Moraga and Belmont Shore),\u00a0boat parades (Newport Beach, Lakeport), mountains parades (Ebbet’s Pass) and beach parades (Santa Barbara). There are new parades and those that have been around for a really long time\u00a0(Vallejo’s 4th of July Parade is 162!) \u00a0Being in a parade can be fun but it’s also a nice to sit and watch the floats, bands, military\u00a0and\u00a0equestrian units go by.
