While some may argue that\u00a0the\u00a0Central Valley or California beaches are\u00a0equally elevating, there is nothing like the high altitude\u00a0aroma of\u00a0scented\u00a0pines to accompany fresh brews. \u00a0In August there are\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/august-beer.html\">beer festivals<\/a> in\u00a0Mammoth, Lake Arrowhead and Squaw Valley, all great places to spend a summer vacation. \u00a0In the fall June Lake\u00a0(7,600 feet) celebrates with an\u00a0annual beer festival in October, right around the time Big Bear Lake (6,700 feet) hosts the month-long Oktoberfest in a spectacular setting.\u00a0Enjoy the beer while you can.
