There’s no greater Halloween scare (or adrenaline rush) than skydiving. Recently 61 divers took to the skies above Perris, Calif. to\u00a0create\u00a0the largest diamond formation while\u00a0in freefall and wearing wingsuits, breaking a world record. Skydiving grabs media attention when records are broken or deaths occur such as the California skydiving accident of\u00a0MTV extreme sports star, Erik Roner, who died in Lake Tahoe\u00a0when he struck a tree in September 2015.<\/p>\n
Skydiving isn’t for everyone — if you like to play it safe skydiving experts all state that the sport is NOT without dangers. In 2013, there were 3.2 million jumps out of airplanes in the United States, and 24 people killed in the process. Injury statistics are harder to come by but there a many unpredictable things that can happen causing broken bones, fractures and more.
