How dangerous are the waves? Lamb said, &#8220;any time\u00a0this wave breaks, it is life or death, man vs. nature.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The professional surfer, actor and model who competes\u00a0in the World Surf League (WSL) Big Wave Tour has been an alternate at Mavericks annual contest \u00a0in past years.
