Now the 2nd most lucrative farm commodity\u00a0under milk &amp; dairy, nuts are popular internationally but have also increased in popularity locally as the public discovers their health benefits.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On Feb. 28, 2016 get nutty at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/capay-valley-almond-festival.html\">Capay Valley Almond Festival<\/a> where\u00a0Terry Sheets Band (pictured)\u00a0rocks out at\u00a0Capay&#8217;s Road Trip Bar &amp; Grill. Five valley towns &#8212;\u00a0Esparto, Capay, Brooks, Guinda and Rumsey &#8212; welcome guests to Yolo County for a one day celebration.<\/li>\n<li>From February 26 t0 28, 2015 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/ripon-almond-festival.html\">Ripon Almond Blossom Festival<\/a> gets even nuttier with a big parade and festival held annually in San Joaquin County. Miss Almond Blossom who gets crowned and officiates is as pretty as the spring flowers\u00a0that blossom on the almond\u00a0trees.
