‘Meet the Grunion’\u00a0is\u00a0like a flashlight Easter Egg Hunt\u00a0but this event is REAL\u00a0Mother Nature at work, doing her thing. On select nights<\/a>\u00a0in San Pedro, Calif.\u00a0the annual program\u00a0at Cabrillo Aquarium invites the\u00a0public to come and\u00a0learn about these fascinating silversides.\u00a0For a small fee ($1-5 approx.) Grunion Greeters\u00a0discuss\u00a0the unique\u00a0fish that come to the beach and dig into the sand to spawn (lay eggs). Unlike an Easter Egg hunt\u00a0you are not looking for the tiny eggs but instead, are looking for the grunion. For those with a fishing license there’s a grunion open catch\u00a0season — but it comes with a catch. You may only catch them with your bare hands!
