Even though it can take\u00a0an\u00a0hour to get to the beach to see\u00a0the 22 minute show,\u00a0and nearly two hours in\u00a0traffic leave,\u00a0over half a million people show up\u00a0to watch\u00a0fireworks launched from Huntington Beach Pier over the Pacific Ocean.\u00a0Practically every popular fireworks show in California anticipates crowds.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/events\/4thofjuly\/fireworks.html\">4th of July Fireworks<\/a><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BIGGEST<\/strong>: Tahoe South&#8217;s 4th of July Lights on the Lake Fireworks is the largest synchronized fireworks display west of the Mississippi. American Pyrotechnics Association rates the South Shore spectacular one of the top five displays in the nation. Starts at approximately 9:45\u00a0p.m. on July 4.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SMALLEST<\/strong>: Marin County only allows special permit fireworks seen at\u00a0Marin County Fair nightly June 30 through July 4.<\/li>\n<li><strong>EASY TO SEE<\/strong>: San Franciso, San Diego, Marina del Rey bays \u00a0and Sacramento (River) offer opportunities to watch fireworks displays from many vantage points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If my beach town (Huntington Beach) is any indication of what people like most about the 4th of July, fireworks win, hands down.
