Two festivals with strikingly different beverages and attire offer stylized celebrations of periods in time and their associated cultures. San Diego Tiki Oasis<\/a> returns Aug. 18-21, 2016 with four whopping days of hula dancing, the Bartenders Battle, burlesque shows, girl pinup contests, cars, mai tais, pool time, plus\u00a0late night dancing to Jason Lee and the RIPtides.<\/p>\n

In Long Beach at the Queen Mary\u00a0Aug. 19-21 people are dressed to the nines and ready to sip the bubbly at the Art Deco Festival<\/a>. Strolling the decks of the Queen in\u00a0vintage fashion you wear to the Grand Ball featuring\u00a0Jim Ziegler and the Swingsations,\u00a0this event may seem more subdued, but the air is electrically charged, thanks to resident ghosts.
