What an inconvenience! The modern marvel&#8211;electricity to your home&#8211;is explored this weekend at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/folsom-electricity.html\">Folsom Electricity Fair<\/a> at the Folsom Historic Powerhouse. It\u00a0is one of the oldest hydroelectric facilities in the world and one of the first power systems to provide high-voltage alternating current over long-distance transmission lines for major municipal and industrial use.<\/p>\n<p>There are\u00a0many museums paying homage to mankind&#8217;s modern inventions that have changed our lives.
