Manzanita Lake and Hat Creek Meadow in Lassen Volcanic National Park are already displaying nice lime, yellow, rusty orange and gold colors, a sign of things to come throughout the Sierra Nevadas and mountain ranges in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Fall foliage in California traditionally starts showing in early October and peaks by mid-to-late October. It depends on the weather and temperatures &#8212; some years the color displays are a fizzle &#8212; but most the time the sights are quite spectacular.
