The glory days are not forgotten but are actually celebrated\u00a0each October at Pismo Beach Clam Festival<\/a>, 70 years strong in 2016! In addition to clam chowder cooking and tasting contest, a massive clam bake and a clam dig, people jam to bands such as Mojo Combo\u00a0and\u00a0Steppin Out. You’ll also find them jammin’ on some mighty fine waves at the annual surf competition, part of the event.
