{"id":23672,"date":"2016-12-24T21:20:44","date_gmt":"2016-12-25T05:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/traveltips\/?p=23672"},"modified":"2016-12-24T21:40:18","modified_gmt":"2016-12-25T05:40:18","slug":"unusual-christmas-surprise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/traveltips\/unusual-christmas-surprise\/","title":{"rendered":"Unusual Christmas Surprise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/images\/crocod.jpg\" alt=\"img\" width=\"650\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Twas&#8217; the day before Christmas when all through the house<br \/>\nNot much was stirring except for my computer mouse.<br \/>\nThe stockings were hung by the chimney with care,<br \/>\nIn hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.<\/p>\n<p>Out on the lawn there rose such a clatter,<br \/>\nI sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.<br \/>\nHopping from a van so lively and quick,<br \/>\nI knew in a moment it wasn&#8217;t St. Nick.<br \/>\nBut Crocodile Dundee, saying, &#8220;G&#8217;day Mate.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe&#8217;d come here last week to use his snake.<\/p>\n<p>The plumbing is fine, but he returned with a smile.<br \/>\nHe came back to show us his acting guile.<br \/>\nThis was no crock but stardom big time.<br \/>\nOur famous plumber now gave us a sign.<br \/>\nHe brought us a copy of his photo 8-by-10,<br \/>\nAnd said, &#8220;Merry Christmas,&#8221; I&#8217;ll see you again.<\/p>\n<p>It turns out our\u00a0plumber was Paul Hogan&#8217;s backup in the movie, Crocodile Dundee. Rob Champion (from Queensland, Australia) \u00a0has performed internationally as Crocodile Dundee in tourism promotions and advertisements such as Suburu, Foster&#8217;s Beer and Outback Steakhouse restaurants. This goes down as one of our most unusal Christmas surprises!
