On Feb. 7, 2017 one of California’s finest botanic attractions and elegant estates\u00a0approx. 16 miles south of SFO\u00a0in\u00a0Woodside, opens for the season after being closed since last October. Filoli<\/a>\u00a0(‘Fight for a just cause. Love your fellow man. Live a good life.’), \u00a0is a Site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Filoli’s\u00a0annual Daffodil Daydreams festival featuring\u00a0more than\u00a0500,000 daffodils\u00a0takes place Feb.24-26. Daffodil festivals<\/a> are a favorite each\u00a0Spring!<\/p>\n

Also in the Bay Area is the annual Tulipmania<\/a> at Pier 39, which takes place this year Feb.11-19.<\/p>\n

With all the rain California is getting, there are high hopes for spectacular poppy displays at Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. It is too early to determine what the bloom will be like this year because of factors such as late freezes or early heat waves\u00a0that can affect the blossoms,\u00a0expected in early to mid-March and lasting until mid-April or later.
