It&#8217;s expected to hit 87 degrees in L.A. and those dry Santa Ana winds are making us thirsty (it&#8217;s not even February yet!)<\/p>\n<p>Not to worry&#8230; with Super Bowl heralding the new month, beer is practically free-flowing, say marketers who claim that\u00a0Americans consume 325 million gallons of beer on game day. That would amount to\u00a0one gallon per every man, woman and child in the United States, a\u00a0ridiculous claim, says University of Denver professor Philip Beaver.<\/p>\n<h2>More Super Bowl Claims<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>188.5 million people watch the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles<\/li>\n<li>Total spending is up 8.5% from $14.1 billion in 2017<\/li>\n<li>Food consumption on Super Bowl Sunday is 2nd only to Thanksgiving day<\/li>\n<li>82% watching the game will buy food &amp; beverages<\/li>\n<li>Super Bowl ads are seen as entertainment.
