The state&#8217;s population (and resultant demand) grew for fresh berries, and shipping methods allowed for delivery internationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/california-strawberry-festivals.html\">Strawberry Festivals in California<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Bad news first<\/p>\n<p>Galt Chamber of Commerce this week announced they are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/galt-strawberry-festival.html\">ending their Strawberry Festival<\/a> after more than 20 years of delighting crowds.<\/p>\n<p>Berry Good News<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Santa Ysabel&#8217;s Fort Cross is hosting a \u00a0Strawberry Ag Workshop in Feb. 2018 to teach you how to successfully grow them.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/santa-maria-strawberry-festival.html\">Santa Maria Strawberry Festival<\/a> returns in late April.<\/li>\n<li>Oxnard&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/oxnard-strawberry-festival.html\">California Strawberry Festival<\/a> returns in mid-May.<\/li>\n<li>Roseville&#8217;s Berry Fest returns on Mother&#8217;s Day weekend.<\/li>\n<li>Garden Grove, Arroyo Grande, Vista, Anderson&#8217;s Happy Valley and Guerneville all are hosting strawberry festivals on Memorial Day Weekend 2018.<\/li>\n<li>Encino has Balboa Strawberry Festival in June.<\/li>\n<li>Watsonville&#8217;s Strawberry Festival returns in August.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Millions of people plied their true loves (family, friends and lovers) with chocolate-covered strawberries on Valentine&#8217;s Day.
