But it&#8217;s really just the beginning of a a summer filled with sunshine, Pacific breezes, bikinis and festivals to entertain the masses &#8212; millions of people attend beach festivals in California!<\/p>\n<h2>California Beach Festivals<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Back to the Beach April 28-29, 2018 at Huntington State Beach features a big lineup of bands such as Sublime. This ticketed event features games, food and cocktails to age 21+.<\/li>\n<li>San Diego&#8217;s Gator by the Bay combines music, food and southern living in one tasty event May 10-13.<\/li>\n<li>Mother&#8217;s Day in Sunset Beach is sweet with an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/sunset-beach-art-festival.html\">art festival<\/a>\u00a0May 12-13. The beach is like 10 feet away!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/carmel-art-festival.html\">Carmel Art Festival<\/a> &amp; Sculpture in the Park May 18-20 overlooks the sandiest beaches you&#8217;ll ever see.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/solana-beach-fiesta-del-sol.html\">Fiesta del Sol<\/a>\u00a0 (Sun Festival) in Solana Beach May 19-20 is an annual, free festival of music, dancing in the streets and the waves sparkling nearby.<\/li>\n<li>Memorial Weekend in Hermosa Beach brings another big beach art event, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/hermosa-beach-fiesta-hermosa.html\">Fiesta Hermosa<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Santa Cruz \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/entertainment\/concerts\/santa-cruz-beach-concerts.html\">Friday Night Bands on the Beach<\/a>\u00a0begins June 15 and goes through August 31. The free concerts serve up well known bands such as Blue Oyster Cult in 2 concerts per night.<\/li>\n<li>North Beach Festival\u00a0June 16-17 celebrates San Francisco&#8217;s popular and eclectic North Beach district. It&#8217;s not on a beach, however.<\/li>\n<li>Ocean Beach (OB) Street Festival and Chili Cook-off on June 23 overlooks Ocean Beach Pier and beaches.<\/li>\n<li>Moonlight Beach BRO-AM Beach Fest June 30 is an Encinitas festival right on the beach.
