If you’re into the arts, Laguna Beach’s annual Sawdust Festival<\/a>\u00a0and the Art-A-Fair<\/a>\u00a0both open for the summer on June 29, 2018. At Sawdust Festival guests can wander the sawdust-covered grounds, buy beers and listen to bands under the scented eucalyptus while browsing vendor stalls. Next door is juried Art-A-Fair where renown artists paint and sell masterpieces. These tourist favorites set in Laguna Canyon are preludes to next week’s Pageant of the Masters<\/a>\u00a0opening July 7 across the street.<\/p>\n Pageant of the Masters is a ticketed stage production held outdoors at Irvine Bowl. It involves costumed actors positioned in famous paintings on stage. The art looks identical to originals with one exception — sometimes volunteer actors flinch (especially children.) When you see eyes blink or unintended arm movements, these 3-D canvases really come to life.
