National Park Services installed portable restrooms to assist with the issue while lodging, dining, retail stores and the Yosemite Ski and Snowboard areas remained open.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/parks\/national-parks-free-days.html\">free admission days<\/a> to National Parks have already been set for 2019 with the first event coming on January 21.<\/p>\n<p>California State Parks have faced budget problems in the past but seem to be on track to recovery. Park-sponsored programs engaging the public such as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/events\/newyear\/first-day-hikes.html\">First Day Hikes,<\/a>\u00a0offer endless opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy open spaces.\u00a0Here are some of the hikes being offered to launch the new year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lake Tahoe&#8217;s magical west shore hike.<\/li>\n<li>Humboldt Lagoons State Park paddle trip.<\/li>\n<li>Red Rock Canyon State Park Nightmare Gulch Trail hike.<\/li>\n<li>Angel Island State Park Sunset Trail hike.<\/li>\n<li>Van Damme State Park Spring Ranch Trail gray whale migration hike.<\/li>\n<li>Mount San Jacinto State Park Desert View Trail hike.<\/li>\n<li>Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Alcoholic Pass Trail hike.<\/li>\n<li>Carlsbad South Ponto Beach and Bluff Overlook Trail hike.<\/li>\n<li>Pismo State Beach Boardwalk Nature Walk at the Butterfly Grove.<\/li>\n<li>Ano Nuevo State Park Guided Elephant Seal Walks.<\/li>\n<li>New Brighton State Beach low tide and sunset stroll.<\/li>\n<li>Jack London State Historic Park Summit Hike.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the Golden State begins another glorious year filled with sunrises and sunsets enjoyed in California&#8217;s state and national parks, it comes as no surprise that these coveted destinations are in demand.
