Who knows what good fortune may come your way if you decide to attend one of the Top 10 Parades in the World, the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade<\/a> celebrating the Year of the Pig on February 22, 2019? It’s a fabulous show of colorful floats, costumes, kids, adults, bands and balloons, even. It’s an evening taste of sizzling San Francisco, launching at 2nd & Market Streets, lined with iconic buildings and staged lighting along the route.<\/p>\n

In addition, there’s a festival spanning three weeks of sports competitions, a beauty pageant, banquet, flower market and street fair. If you’re in San Francisco, this is a must-see event.<\/p>\n

If you’re in California, there are many more Lunar, Chinese and Tet celebrations tempting you to explore. But be forewarned — rain may cancel — check before you go! Just know that rain is a lucky sign for residents and farmers. If it doesn’t rain like many years past, water restrictions are in your future.<\/p>\n
