Hart Park in the town of Newhall. This free admission event offers incredible entertainment, but you have to pre-purchase tickets for some of the enhanced offerings such as special tours, dinners and concerts that often sell out.<\/p>\n<p>If you think cowboys are out of style just turn on your TV (if you still have one,) and watch Westerns daily &#8212; Bonanza, The Lone Ranger and Gunsmoke &#8212; are several staples. On Saturdays classic Westerns are broadcast all day long &#8212; The Big Valley, Have Gun &#8211; Will Travel, Wagon Train, Maverick, The Rifleman, Rawhide, Trackdown &#8212; and the list goes on. California&#8217;s film studios created and produced these epic shows that continue to entertain fans of the Old West genre more than 50 years later.<\/p>\n<p>For contemporary entertainment that kids and adults can embrace in a hands-on manner, California serves up Western-themed festivals and events such as the Cowboy Festival in Southern California.
