Events begin this week with the majority of festivals held the first weekend in May as close as possible to the May 5th.<\/p>\n<p>San Diego&#8217;s Cinco de Mayo is probably the biggest festival in California (not far from the Mexican border,) but there are also some massive events in Los Angeles and one in Richmond &amp; San Pablo that touts 100,000 attendance.
