Labor Day Weekend is the perfect time to enjoy California Fish and Wildlife’s free fishing day on Aug.31, 2019. But if you miss this grand opportunity which conveniently coincides with the last open season Grunion Run<\/a>\u00a0(Aug.30-Sept.1, 2019,) there are plenty more fish to be had and tasted at upcoming events — such as Long Beach’s Original Lobster Festival<\/a> Sept.6-8, 2019.<\/p>\n

The annual Lobster Festival is one for the books. The event organizers invented a perfect steamer to make their delicacy lobster taste oh so delicious. Rather than boiling them, steam cooks lobster perfectly with no excess water. I can almost remember the great texture and taste I enjoyed at this event in year’s past. In addition, the festival includes bands, dancing, kids’ entertainment, vendors and a full day of hanging out at \u00a0Rainbow Lagoon overlooking Long Beach harbor and Queen Mary!<\/p>\n
