With summer nearly over (officially becomes Fall on Monday, Sept.23, 2019 in Northern Hemisphere,) California’s festival and special events promoters are already busy spreading the word about holiday happenings.<\/p>\n
Among them is Capistrano Lights (pictured) Dec.7, 2019-Jan.6, 2020 at Mission San Juan Capistrano, the first of many missions in California to alert SeeCalifornia.com to\u00a0holiday happenings<\/a>. The event features spectacular lighting on the walls of the seventh of 21 missions established in California. It was permanently founded by Junipero Serra on November 1, 1776.<\/p>\n While the city of San Juan Capistrano enjoys activities throughout the seasons, the mission is the centerpiece for tourism with summer concerts, a mariachi festival, return of the swallows & parade, and a host of seasonal, holiday celebrations<\/a>.<\/p>\n We’ve also heard from Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, about the return of Moonlight Forest Nov.9, 2019-Jan.12, 2020. Outdoor light installations (giant lanterns) include two new themes, Polar Dreams and Ocean Visions.
