There are some mighty big pumpkin festivals in California, but none takes the cake (pumpkin pie) quite like Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival<\/a> with a parade, pumpkin weigh-off, contests, and tons of pumpkin fun. Be sure to say hi to Gourdy, the pumpkin festival mascot, and watch Farmer Mike, the Picasso of pumpkin carvers, transform giant pumpkins into art.<\/p>\n

California Pumpkin Festivals<\/a><\/h2>\n

CALABASAS: Calabasas Pumpkin Festival<\/a> Oct.19-20, 2019. Calabasas means “pumpkin” so this city really understands the pumpkin phenomenon. There’s pumpkin pie eating and seed spitting contests, as well as a costume parade.<\/p>\n

ELK GROVE: Giant Pumpkin Festival<\/a>\u00a0will be back again next year!<\/p>\n

FULLERTON: OC Discovery Cube Pumpkin Launch at Cal State Fullerton Nov.2<\/p>\n
