From the mountains to the desert and the sea, Californians are lighting the holiday tree this Thanksgiving weekend. While there are hundreds of Turkey Trots and Runs<\/a> on Thanksgiving Day, the majority of tree lightings happen on Black Friday, Saturday and Sunday following the Big Feast.<\/p>\n

This year rain & snow are in the forecast for the weekend and while snow is a blessed event for the ski resorts, flatlanders (from Central California to Southern California) typically freak out with the season’s first rains.<\/p>\n
