Hospitality is key&#8211;there&#8217;s world class food &amp; beverage options in dining, a thriving theater arts scene, shopping and so much more to entertain the millions of visitors who come for a variety of reasons.<\/p>\n<p>During the holidays Sacramento sparkles with seasonal things to see and do. We simply can&#8217;t cover them all but do look forward to visiting and enjoying some holiday traditions.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/christmas\/sacramento-christmas.html\">Sacramento Christmas<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>On the streets of one of California&#8217;s most authentic, historic places, guests delight in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/sacramento-theatre-lights.html\">Old Sacramento Theatre of Lights,<\/a>\u00a0the recreation of the 1823 poem &#8212; A Visit from St. Nicholas, more popularly known as &#8216;Twas the Night Before Christmas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/icerinks\/sacramento.html\">Ice skating in Sacramento<\/a> has been a holiday tradition for more than 20 years. Put on your scarf and mittens to get in the holiday mood at this special event in the heart of the city!<\/p>\n<p>Sacramento Ballet&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/nutcracker-ballet\/sacramento-ballet.html\">The Nutcracker<\/a> starts this week and continues till just before Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Capitol City Yacht Club recently held its annual boat parade of lights that travels under the famous Alfred Eichler-designed Tower Bridge. There are also plenty of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/christmas\/boat-parades\/california-boat-parades.html\">boat parades<\/a> throughout the state to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/christmas\/parades\/sacramento-santa-parade.html\">Sacramento Santa Parade<\/a> takes to the streets this week for a delightful event filled with marching bands, floats, antique vehicles, and of course, Santa Claus!<\/p>\n<p>See the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/christmas\/trees\/sacramento-capitol-tree.html\">Capitol Christmas Tree<\/a>. The Governor annually lights the tree next to the Capitol in a ceremony featuring special dignitaries and children. The tree remains lit nightly through Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Sacramento &amp; West Sacramento both offer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/christmas\/christmas-trains.html\">Christmas train rides<\/a> that are so popular, they usually sell out fast. Nevertheless, you can still hop aboard an Amtrak train and head for a variety of great destinations&#8211;such as Yosemite National Park.
