While Nevada City and Grass Valley celebrate the natural environment that surrounds us with Wild & Scenic Film Festival January 16-20, 2020, Morro Bay does its own take on nature with Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival<\/a> the same weekend (Jan.17-20).<\/p>\n Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend is an ideal time to experience nature that surrounds you when National Parks Service lets everyone in free to the nation’s coveted wild & scenic park lands on Jan.20. It is one of several free admission days<\/a> throughout the year celebrating more than 52 million acres of protected land.<\/p>\n Other wild and scenic events the same weekend include The Return of the Sea Lions<\/a> to Pier 39 in San Francisco. Oh, the noise! Oh the ruckus! Oh the delight as tourists and locals watch these sea mammal bask in the sun or fight over a coveted spot. If you’ve ever watched them you know that once sea lion may come sailing out of the water and crash dive onto another with a prime bathing spot. There’s no subtlety in making a claim.<\/p>\n Other events courtesy of Mother Nature include the famed Napa Truffle Festival<\/a> Jan.17-20. The gourmet delicacy is very wild and beloved in dishes complimenting local wines.<\/p>\n In Pleasanton you can take in the RV Show (Jan.11-20) offering a way to go see your next great outdoor adventure in the Golden State.<\/p>\n For another set of wheels to see the sights, head for Burbank’s BMX Spectacular at Valley Skate Park.<\/p>\n In Sacramento the International Sportsmen Exposition (January 16-19) at Cal Expo offers endless possibilities to fulfill your wildest dreams.
