Industries such as anime (Japanese word for animation,) make for great jobs if you’re into hand drawn and computer animation. The Association of Japanese Animators yearly study of industry earnings, calculated from roughly 150 significant anime-related companies found that for the sixth year in a row, the size of the anime industry grew in 2019. It was also the sixth year in a row the industry reached a new all-time high of earnings at US$10.939 billion.<\/p>\n
In California the craze is going strong. There are dozens of anime shows, comic cons and events that typically pack convention halls and meeting spaces with enticements such as Maid \/ Butler Cafe, artist presentations, meet & greets, photo ops and vendor markets.<\/p>\n
Some events are racy with adult themes and age restrictions, but most cater to the broadest audience. The Burlingame Babs Con in April, for instance, is a My Little Pony fan-run convention with activities for kids and families.<\/p>\n
Whether you attend Babs Con, Asahicon, WonderCon, Comic Con, Ani-Me Con, LumaCon, NostalgiaCon, BayCon or even Silicon, you’ll be amazed at how many con jobs there. These expos & conventions can attract 100,000 attendees or more in places such as Los Angeles where the annual 4th of July Anime Expo has earned a reputation as the largest anime convention in North America.<\/p>\n
