How would you like to participate in a desert race that passes by pastures serving up fragrant doses of springtime fertilizer “au natural”? El Centro’s Le Tour de Manure bicycling event brings it on home on February 25, 2012 with a\u00a0 race that exhibits imagination, putting a positive spin on farm pastures riders will pass by.<\/p>\n

California has dozens of bicycle events to fill the pages of a calendar. Some are for profit ventures and others are fundraisers, or simply designed to have fun in a community atmosphere. The biggest cash cow to California’s economy is the annual Amgen Tour of California bike race<\/a> coming up May 13 -20, 2012.<\/p>\n

And the good news is that they span the state, offering you, your family and friends opportunities to participate. Some are for die-hard riders and others are community events for everyone to participate.\u00a0 Bicycle riding is a healthy sport that nearly everyone can do, and according to some friends of mine it has an added benefit. McKay & Don met on a Sierra Club bicycle gathering in Southern California and the rest is history. The singles fell in love when their spokes started spinning and they have been happily married for more than 10 years!<\/p>\n
