If you&#8217;re like me, you just see trash. But creative types who see the value of an old shoe, tennis ball, lid or plastic bottle, may envision a world where our art is made of our refuse. Lidia the Seal is one such creation recently constructed and on display at several of the many <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/events\/earthday\/california-earth-day.html\">upcoming Earth Day celebrations<\/a> around California. Made of Pacific Ocean junk, Lidia is quite intriguing.<\/p>\n<p>Learn how to construct your own Lidia, Sam or Walter at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/events\/earthday\/san-francisco.html\">one event at the Exploratorium<\/a> in San Francisco where a group called Washed Ashore will teach you how.\u00a0 The Washed Ashore Project will also be at Earth Day festivities at Earth Day Marin on April 21.
