On <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/events\/earthday\/california-earth-day.html\">Earth Day held April 22, 2012<\/a> &#8211; many will celebrate by cleaning up messes created by humans and nature, itself. From picking up trash to cleaning out creek beds, a variety of projects are being hosted by municipalities and nonprofit organizations. There are some awesome Earth Day Festivals in Santa Barbara, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/templeton-earthday-food-wine-festival.html\">Templeton<\/a> (shown in photos) and places throughout California that focus on information and sampling earth&#8217;s bounty.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to that specific focus, many will celebrate Earth Day by attending flower festivals such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/lancaster-poppy-festival.html\">Lancaster Poppy Festival<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/porterville-iris-festival.html\">Porterville Iris Festival<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/traveltips\/time-for-the-drive-to-see-californias-remaining-flower-fields\/\">Carlsbad Flower Fields<\/a>.\u00a0 Cherry Blossom Festival and Apple Blossom Festival are a few more events this week &amp; month in California.<\/p>\n<p>We also celebrate the earth through food festivals. This month people will enjoy the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seecalifornia.com\/festivals\/stockton-asparagus-festival.html\">Asparagus Festival in Stockton<\/a> and Lemon Festival in Upland, to name a few. Next month it&#8217;s all about strawberries and artichokes&#8211;get ready!
