Californians are ALL about Mother Earth. On Earth Day held April 22, 2012<\/a> – many will celebrate by cleaning up messes created by humans and nature, itself. From picking up trash to cleaning out creek beds, a variety of projects are being hosted by municipalities and nonprofit organizations. There are some awesome Earth Day Festivals in Santa Barbara, Templeton<\/a> (shown in photos) and places throughout California that focus on information and sampling earth’s bounty.<\/p>\n

In addition to that specific focus, many will celebrate Earth Day by attending flower festivals such as Lancaster Poppy Festival<\/a>, Porterville Iris Festival<\/a> and Carlsbad Flower Fields<\/a>.\u00a0 Cherry Blossom Festival and Apple Blossom Festival are a few more events this week & month in California.<\/p>\n

We also celebrate the earth through food festivals. This month people will enjoy the Asparagus Festival in Stockton<\/a> and Lemon Festival in Upland, to name a few.
