Visitors from around the globe who are expected to drop into the International City to see the exhibit (on display for a year and possibly longer,) won’t be just catching a glimpse of history, but will helping Princess Diana’s legacy. Known for her humanitarian causes, Diana traveled the globe, confronting issues such as poverty, lack of education, health and human rights.<\/p>\n
The exhibition comes from the personal collection of Jess and Suzanne King, founders of Pink Ribbons Crusade non-profit charity, founded in 2000\u00a0 to honor Mrs. King\u2019s father, Dr. William Shields, a respected breast surgeon and the struggle of women everywhere when confronting breast cancer.<\/p>\n
Suzanne King transformed her extensive personal collection of Princess Diana and royal memorabilia into the novel commemorative exhibit now destined for the Queen Mary. The collection itself has taken nearly three decades to assemble and has raised countless funds for various breast cancer organizations (dianadresses.org).<\/p>\n
