A whiskers contest, scarecrow contest in which you must make your scarecrow look like some historic figure from the city&#8217;s past, and not to be missed&#8211;a Centennial Parade on August 25, 2012, marching from Fremont High School to the Community Center from 10 a.m. to noon, are part of the fun.\u00a0 The high-tech city filled with innovation is hosting a completely low tech celebration that&#8217;s very old fashion. Hayrides in the Heritage Orchard, blacksmith demonstrations, a 1912 general store, turn of the century Sunnyvale downtown and model train diorama, plus much more, are free to enjoy and you are invited.
