Welcome to Fall Back, the\u00a0 Children’s Historic Street Faire held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.\u00a0 The annual event in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter takes place each year on the first Sunday of November (the end of Daylight Savings Time \u2013 when the clocks ‘fall back’). The Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation wraps food, entertainment, and family-fun around a hearty helping of history and culture that will keep you coming back every year! The free admission event is held at Fifth Avenue & Island Avenue in the Gaslamp rain or shine. Between old-fashioned festivities such as pony rides and ice cream- and pie-eating contests, there are historical recreations with a 19th century blacksmith plying his trade, prospectors teaching children how to pan for gold, butter churning and candle dipping demonstrations, and a Wild West shoot-out.\u00a0 Native American and other folkloric dancers, Southwest Indian sand painting, Chinese calligraphy, model railroad demonstration, and a drumming jam session, take place while being entertained my magicians, musicians, dancers, and Native American tales told by renowned storyteller Abel Silvas.<\/p>\n Craft booths will provide the children with keep-sakes of a fabulous day and while supplies last:
