Get in the turkey craze (growing by leaps and bounds) as you carve a path to the nearest turkey race this week or next in celebration of Thanksgiving. Annual turkey trots\u00a0 are 5 and 10K running events inviting the public to\u00a0 for a no-stress competitive contest on or around Thanksgiving Day.\u00a0 Some are just for fun, while others such as Father Joe’s Villages Thanksgiving Day Run in San Diego are fundraisers for food banks and homeless shelters . Participants at turkey trots range from kids to seniors, often\u00a0 dressed in silly turkey costumes & hats !
