Zoos are made up of families. When Tallulah died at San Francisco Zoo not long ago, the fifty-something matriarch of the chimpanzee troop left behind her chimp family and her human caregivers, all saddened by her passing when her heart finally gave out. In the balance of (zoo) life, however, when one animal passes, a host of newborn arrivals–such as a rare Sumatran tiger cub born in February–  continue to keep the stork very busy! This spring you can see all sorts of new zoo babies and watch them being cared for, fed, cuddled, and comforted.  It is the perfect time to take your very own babes & youngsters to Big Bunny’s Spring Fling at San Francisco Zoo on March 30-31, 2013. Surround yourself with bunnies and creatures on a Wonderland-themed Nature Trail. During Easter weekend learn all about bunny rabbits in the Bunny Learning Center where guests get up-close to these wonderful critters. Other fun activities include Barnyard Stampede, Chick Hatchery Tour and Duck Pond Feeding. Visit the zoo any time you can! There’s so much to see.
