Avenue Q at Orpheum Theatre Feb. 15-27, 2011

The smash-hit Broadway musical about life in New York City told by a cast of people and puppets through a hilariously irreverent, Tony-winning book and score, returns to SAN FRANCISCO, CA’s Orpheum Theatre, 1192 Market St., Feb. 15-27, 2011.  Avenue Q is the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who moves to New York with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The only apartment he can afford is way out on Avenue Q, where everyone’s looking for the same things he is: a decent job, a stable relationship and “purpose.” Eventually, Princeton learns to embrace the ups and downs of city life.

Avenue Q opened off-broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in March 2003, where it gained rave reviews, and was extended four times! Since its opening and tours, an all star cast of celebrity actors have watched the musical, including Tom Hanks, Glenn Close, Kirk Douglas, Luke Perry, Macauley Culkin, Mandy Patinkin and hundreds more.
