Published on: July 25, 2012

Free Summer Concerts for Wednesday, July 25, 2012 Bring the blankets, beach towels, the lawn chairs (some places require low backed chair so others can see,) bring the kids, bring the snacks, bring the backpacks, and set yourself down for a round of music to lighten your summer night tonight. On Wednesday, July 25, 2012 there are plenty of reasons to relax. No rain is forecast throughout the entire state (we checked) and the temperatures are seasonably mild. Free summer concerts in California are usually sponsored & produced by municipalities such as cities, by associations, improvement districts, chambers of commerce and even mall management in some places. Thousands of musicians apply for a chance to perform at these events throughout the state and though the pay is generally not great, the bands like the fact that they gain exposure, sell some CDs, and offer entertainment to others while doing what they love. Some concerts are symphony bands within a city, while most are general mix of rock, soul, jazz, Latin beats and country. There are many free things to see & do in California, but summer offers the best opportunity to grab live entertainment minus the bar or club scene where you’ll usually have to buy a drink or eat a meal to enjoy the show.
