year-round farming that feeds the nation and globe as top producer of many
produce items; Gold Country history; wine growing regions throughout the state;
numerous national parks including Yosemite, Alcatraz Island, Sequoia and Kings
Canyon; and over 240 state parks ranging from beach camping to mountain hiking.
California also features a national marine sanctuary, and includes over 6
islands, most accessible under the national parks system. Theme parks include
the original Disneyland; Universal Studios Hollywood; SeaWorld San Diego; San
Diego Zoo; Magic Mountain; and Knott's Berry Farm. Museums are in the thousands,
and include The Getty, Huntington Library & Gardens, Golden Gate Park museums,
and Balboa Park museums.
