Brisbane, CA Travel Information and News

Located on the peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area, Brisbane is a popular city for residents commuting south to Silicon Valley or north into San Francisco.

The small city of under 10,000 residents enjoys an exceptional quality of life with low unemployment, decent average incomes, a strong and active government offering great services, including  parks & recreation, and lots of amenities generally afforded to much larger cities.

Brisbane Events include Day in the Park, Brisbane Derby, Concerts in the Park and Habitat Restoration. Brisbane features hiking and nature trails, a dog park, sports and recreation facilities, picnic areas and many things to see and do throughout the year.

With 85% of its land holdings consisting of water, the temperatures in Brisbane are mild and enjoyable all year long. Around 75% of residents own homes vs. renting, and they enjoy public transportation services. Commute.org provides several shuttles to and from BART and CalTrain.

Brisbane is home to many civic organizations ranging from scouting for youngsters, to Brisbane Chamber of Commerce for local entrepreneurs and businesses.  Whether visiting or living in Brisbane, you'll have no problem finding a way to connect and establish roots in this highly desirable city that feels like a town at the lower slopes of the San Bruno Mountain in San Mateo County.

SFO, or San Francisco International Airport is a mere 15 minute car drive from Brisbane, which offers several quality chain hotels for short term or extended stays.
