California Pin Up Contests

Almost as popular as the pin-striping jobs on custom cars at festivals and shows are the Pinup models who strike a pose! Pinup isn’t the standard beauty pageant where Miss Strawberry Festival, Peach or Plum is crowned queen. Pinup contestants are judged for their vintage looks ranging from the pincurls in their hair, to their seamed, silk stockings and bright red lips. 40s to 50s era fashion is in style, lending itself to the popularity of classic car, vintage bike and lifestyle festivals that include music, food, and even tattoos.
- A drawing for a Glamour Pinup Photoshoot in Los Angeles with photographer Carol Sheridan and makeup artist Stacy Lande of Iconic Pinup (iconicpinups.com) takes place on August 1, 2015. Contest sign up is located on the website.
