
When visiting San Francisco the quintessential dining experience at Fisherman’s Wharf is eating Dungeness crab. The Crab Season officially launches on November 1st, but you can get a headstart on Oct. 24, 2015 at the annual Wharf Fest. Among the festival events is a Chowder Competition & Tasting featuring the best chefs and recipes from eleven Fisherman’s Wharf restaurants such as Alioto’s Restaurant, Blue Memaid Chowder House, Boudin Bakery, Cioppino’s, Franciscan Crab Restaurant, Joe’s Crab Shack and Lou’s Fish Shack.
