If you happen to be meandering on country roads in San Diego County this weekend, make a stop in the town of Julian, also known as California Historical Landmark No. 412. Recognized for its superb apples, apple pies and ciders, the quaint downtown enjoys hosting old-fashioned celebrations. This weekend Julian and surrounding environs celebrate the gold rush on April 7 & 8, 2018 at Julian Gold Rush Days at Julian Farm three miles west of Main Street in a little town called Wynola.
Events are typical of similar gold rush celebrations and festivals throughout the state. Activities include gold panning, hayrides, farm animals, arts & crafts, food for sale, and admission is free!
