For the Birds in California
If you’re not doing anything this weekend, check out the Snowgoose Festival January 23-27, 2019 in Chico, Calif. There are plenty of free events for all ages, plus fee-based workshops and tours you can sign up for.
I wasn’t feeling well the other day so I pulled my Stressless leather recliner over by a window where the sun poured down on me. Not only did it help me relax, I was awakened to a world of birds outside my door. It seems they really like my yard and hang out there for hours on end, apparently. They dig in the dirt and mud after a rain, and they perch on branches to dive bomb for moths and bugs passing by. Then up come the hummingbirds challenging each other for favorite blossoms on my fruit trees — lemon, apple and lime. After an hour or so I felt renewed and went on with my day. When I checked back later, I noticed the birds were still there. Who would know what goes on in the life of birds unless you take time to look and pay attention?
