For those who don’t feel they can drop $500-$1000 for a family day at California’s top-visited, beloved theme park, there’s an anecdote offering some perks and the same Disneyland vibe. It’s called Downtown Disney.

Here are the actual Disneyland discount tickets & prices!

While our family used to purchase annual passes to Disneyland, it became boring going there day after day. Our kids begged us to please, don’t take them anymore. Can you imagine?

As the years passed and we followed Disneyland’s theme park changes in the news and social media, we began  missing our favorite haunts such as Haunted Mansion, the Tiki Room, lunch at the Blue Bayou, Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, etc.

Disneyland Christmas is magical and you don’t forget the special touches. You can catch a glimpse of it by visiting Downtown Disney. When we go we…

  • Spend $20 on qualifying food & merchandise that can be validated for 3 hours free parking.
  • Don’t exceed 3 hours parking. It goes up to $7 per 30 minutes after that!
  • Wander over to Disneyland Hotel to see the Christmas displays, and shop in their gift store.
  • Sit outdoors and watch crowds walking in and out of the theme parks, many with their Mickey Mouse Ears & funny hats.
  • Enjoy seeing children (especially girls) wear their princess outfits.
  • Shop and browse in the Downtown Disney stores.
  • Buy confections and pastries shaped like Mickey.

If you’re like us, you’ll swear you’re buying tickets to get inside the parks on your return trip. Holiday decor and celebrations go through Jan.6  — and Star Wars launches Jan.17, 2020. There’s never a bad time to see Disneyland but winter is our favorite season.
